In a week 2 non-conference matchup the UCLA Bruins scored what I might term an unconvincing 27-17
win and thus extended the WAC conference member longest Losing streak that now has reached 12. RB Derick Coleman ran for a TD with 3 minutes left in the 4th Qtr to seal the win for UCLA and get the record even @1-1 For SJS QB Desmond Stewart was 15-31 for 111Yds The most impressive thing for SJS and for that matter UCLA was the rushing game UCLA had 42 rushes for a combined 272 Yds. The afore mentioned Coleman had 135 Yds and Jonathan Franklin chipped in with 15-81 night. Franklin may be worth the development wait but I am not ready to put him in the class of a Freeman Mcniel or a Wendell Tyler yet. Richard Brehaut the current QB was only 12-23 for 145 Yds 1TD I would say serviceable but not impressive. UCLA allowed 202 rushing Yds and that was the 9th time in the last 10 games that UCLA has allowed 150 yards or more to an opponent. Coach Neuhisal stated after the game that there was still room for improvement after game films would be viewed this week. Things do not get easier for the Bruims as they face the longhorns of Texas next week I am Mark Alan Janisch Senior writer and WWS founder
