The strange and wacky world of Pac 12 football began on Saturday in Los Angeles. The Utes
led by Kyle Whittingham in his 7th year with a 59-20 record and probation poster Child Lane Kiffin who never saw a contract he did not break Tennesee 9-5 met in the 1st Pac12 meeting ever after running well between the 20,s for mot of the 1st half but multiple red zone turnovers caused USC to stumble to a 10-0 first Hald Lead. Matt Barkley the 3rd year starter was 20-35 -263 1-1 was bailed out on the offensive side of the ball by Mark Tyler son of Wendell former UCLA RB after the TMZ Paid for play suspension was lifted with 24-113 mostly in the first half. The former USC now Utah OC Norm Chow needs to remind his team that in the Pac-12 the need to run the ball better as the Pac 12 season continues . Ute QB Jordan Wynn was 23-46-238 1-0 mostly in the 2nd half Rushing totals for Utah 25-82-3.3 average. Hey Norm this is not the Mountain West or the Big10 where 3.3 yds rushing is acceptable. Utah had a chance to win driving from there own 33 to the USC 24 after an officials review on a a questionable spot of the ball and the help of a pass interference penalty a 41 Yd game tying FG was blocked by Matt Kalil ot preserve the win. USC goes to 2-0 1-0 Utah falls to 1-1 0-1. The Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott emphasized his rejection of Pac 12 Expansion for at least 1 year previously covered this week on this very blog So for now 12 is enough for this West Coast and now now geographical mountain members of this Power conference. Unfourtunately for Utah and Norm Chow USC presented a mountain too large to climb.
