My fellow Americans seemed to have missed a very important point in the days post bombing. As usuall there is a segment of our society that would rather arrogantly and defiantly stand in the face of disaster. My hope would have been to see some degree of humility rather than defiance. I am just as patriotic as the next person but the point is 1. if we as a collective nation refuse to humble ourselves we will have learned nothing from this tragic experience. Ironically this past weekend marked the OKC bombing of the Alfred P Murrah Federal building April 19th 1995 and the Columbine HS shooting April 20th 1999. It is instructive to bring these things to light because as humans and Americans we tend toward thinking quote as long as it does not affect me then all should be right with the world. In my shorter post I called the faith community to a greater accounting regarding the nature of evil and the capacity of fallen men with a fallen nature to commit acts such as the ones in Boston OKC and Littleton. CO. In the coming days you will hear of conspiracy and other reasons as to why this happened. Every Clergyman in America may wish to reeducate the constiuents on the naturee of Evil the fall of man and the free will of man to choose right and wrong. This is not a time to bury your head in the eccliesiastical sand although some will do that for the advancement of an agenda. We do have a predominant politically correct crowd that wants to advance a new world order but that inclusion is needed but not to the destruction of social order. I close with a verse from the ancient Hebrew psalm of David chapter 11 verse 3
