Thunder 105-90 Over Grizzlies. Scott Brooks leads a team to the Western Conference finals 3 seasons removed from winning 23 games just 3 years ago. The Grizzlies shooting an anemic 39 percent from the floor
failed in part because they could not hit shots Kevin Durant came back strong in game 7 scoring 39 points . Former UCLA star Russel Westbrook dicovered that it was better to distribute the ball rather than take 25-30 shots . I have been a vocal critic of Westbrook for this throughout the series. Westbrook responded with the first Playoff triple double since Scottie Pippen in 1992 14pts 10 rebs and 10 assists. Zach Randolph
the Memphis big man was held to 17pts and 11 rebounds. The key was inside work by former Sonic Nick Collison had 12 Rebounds controling the paint from the outset. It is unfourtanate that OKC has chosen to highjack Sonic history by claiming the Seattle teams records. I will be hoping Dallas takes care of OKC in the Western Conference finals. Dallas will tip off on Tuesday ESPN. This morning I played a song by Marc Cohn from 1991 Walkin in Memphis. Unfourtaantely they will be singing the Delta Blues for awhile.
Another fan base that may be cringe for some time is the Seattle Super Sonic Fan base over what might have been. With reflections on roundball I am Mark Alan Janisch twitter @wideworldof spor maj14@live.com
