Hello, Everyone During the Previous week A few friends and myself had the chance to see Brad Pitt and the movie Moneyball. Topics turned to Albert Pujols. I can say that despite the fact that baseball has become a regional and some would say marginalized sport nationally in the USA over the last 25 years. There are many reasons for this to and including that those under 30 are spending more time with Technology including Vidieo games Ipads, Iphone,s and Ipods and so forth. A neighbor of mine is so addicted to the Technology I think if there was an App for sexual intercourse on his phone he would have it. He is Single and in range of Hiss AARP card in a few years. Albert Pujols may have resurrected his chance to play Moneyball with the Cardinals especially after his 3 Homer game in this WS. Those the the Midwest Gateway have seen the Red Birds basically rise from the Ashes. And so It is his chance to play some major moneyball in free agency. The 31 year old first basemen has recovered from an injury well. and therefore the free agent bonanza should be something to behold. My call is 8 years 40 million dollars. I would not sign him beyond 8 years because the Yankees are now regretting the resigning of the injured, Fraudulent, Cheater Alex Rodriguez and he is now damaged goods. As far as the movie goes it was great for baseball hard core fans like myself. Albert Pujols need not worry about Sabermetrics he is going to be smiling all the way to the bank in 2012 here are his numbers so far . http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/p/pujolal01.shtml
