Week 1 is now over A closer look at this game and a reset of expectations might be in Order for the 12th man fan base in King  County and beyond. The in game fan reaction made it seem as if the  Seahawks had No QB in Russell Wilson. 25/33 320 Yds 1 TD. Expectations are High this year on thr field. I would like to establish a  few things practically as opposed to the 12th man  fan base that is more emotional than most.
1. The absence of DE Cliff Avril, Chris Clemons CB Brandon Browner Bruce Irvin had a negative impact.
2. The Carolina Defense dominated an o-line that clearly needs work. Penalties killed  Seattle 9-109 for the game. This situation needs to and must be corrected  during practice in coming weeks. 3. The Defense rose to the occasion in the form of S Earl Thomas with a fumble recovery at the Seattle 8 yd line with 5.25 left in the 4th quarter. Another point to be made. The Carolina Defense was ranked 10th overall in 2012.
After 30 plus years of watching the NFL you can bank on a few things 1.The defense will always be ahead of the offense for about 3 weeks. Unless you have systemic Problems as you do with Todd  Haley as an OC in Pittsburg and the inept  Jacksonville Jaguars to name a couple. For those of you emotive, petulant ,and  constantly complaining fan base calling for the benching of Russell Wilson really. Some of you a small but vocal minority would like Charlie Whitehurst to ride into the stadium and save the day This is not the 1992 team that went 2-14 or maybe you would like Dan Mcguire or former Notre Dame QB Rick Mirer.
