Hello viewers this is column has been delayed a little bit but here is my take on the Ozzie Guillen  firestorm  created by his comments in support of Cuban leader Castro. Castro has been a   problem for the U.S and his  own people for over fifty years. The above links should help the younger viewers understand the history of Cuba and could answer the question they have of why all the fuss. The reasons are many but in short  here are a couple. Cuba sits only 90 miles from Florida and was used as a staging area for Missles in October 1962. These missles being pointed at the U.S brought the U.S and Russia very close to nuclear war. Russian Premiere    Nikita Kruschev  had delared bodly that the U.S would be buried by the  centralized  Soviet state.  What makes this harmful is that with a new ballpark built right in the Little Havana section of Miami. The moronic comments of  Guillen was brought in to fill the ballpark and perhaps reach out to the Cuban community has now put those efforts so far back that he may be fired  sooner or later. I am not of the view he should have been fired but the five game suspension should have been 30- 35 games .
