, looking back Orton's losses weren't that big: 20-23 OAK, 14-17 TEN, 24-29 SD and the blowout to GB 23-49. The points DEN put on the board in their losses under Orton (20, 24, 14, 23, 24 - avg 21 ) are actually better than the points they've been able to put up under Tebow (18, 10, 38, 17, 17 - avg 20) and if we take out the two high scores for each (24 & 38) the averages are actually Orton (20.25) and Tebow (15.5).
Also, while Tebow has won against a weak schedule (.222, .444, .500, .556), Orton lost against a tough schedule (.556, .667, .556, 1.000).
I think the above demonstrates that Orton would have very likely had just as easy a time winning Tebow's games as Tebow would have had a difficult time winning Orton's." The above was provided by a friend earlier this week via a Facebook Tebow discussion thread. Is it really Tebow time in Denver. Actually this makes a good case for the fan,s of Kyle Orton. Tebow is not paid to be an inspiration. If I wanted inspiration I could always go to my local Mosque, synagouge . or Christian Church. for those of you who favor Tony Robbins I am sorry. I digress. Tim Tebow and his team are as of this writing 4th in the NFL Rushing at about 154 yds per game. Now in the previous decades of NFL games teams were predominatly running teams. What with the Liberalization of the rules and the NFL becoming a passing leauge, The hormone based happiness that is going on in Denver right now is misplaced. Tebows skill set must improve as he missed a lot of throws most QBs in the leauge make. The NFL will catch up to him in what I will term the packages and sets designed for him. The wild cat was an aberration and a novelty for a while but was eventually figured out by the more intelligent D-Coordinators around the leauge. The less intelligent D-coordinators are out of the leauge and employed as greeters at your Local Walmart location. Tebow for the record is 5-3 in his short stints as a starter. 4-1 this year. I am not on the Tebow train yet as this SEC Pro-Am offense may be headed for a train wreck in the AFC West. On November 27th Tebow faces division rival San Diego @ Qualcom Stadium. I do not Tebow and I do not think he will lead Denver to the Promised land of the Super Bowl. The Jury is still out for me on Tebow and to the Spirtual Community in Denver Keep Praying for your football miracle Tebow may be more mirage than miracle.
