The not so happy times in  Happy Valley are rocking PSU. The above link is graphic in nature parents be forewarned . The allegations against  former D-Coordinator are an outrage. Even though PSU is not directly involved here to a degree they must be held accountable for enabaling the use of the campus as his field of nightmares. Most major D-1 schools use the cash cow of football to subsidize all non revenue sports including those dictated by Title 9. The American society although divided, pluralistic, and increasingly secular in nature will not tolerate abuse of children. The A.D and Senior VP of Finance are now out on bail.
Is the power of  College Football and the revenue it generates so important that it blinds the supposed adults in the room to turn there heads and ignore abuse for 15 years. There does come a time when we as a society need to look at our priorities. I am sad  to even have to write this. The weak defenseless and the voiceless need to be spoken for. My hope is that the  PA Attorney General Linda Kelley put her resources to good use and prosecute everyone involved. 409 Victories is no excuse for this egregious moral failure of Joe Paterno He must resign and resign now.  The other aspect of this that I am asking myself is why no one on the PSU campus  take responsibility and follow up in the intrest of the victims. One other person involved who needs to be heard from is NCAA President Mark Emmert. He needs to respond with the harshest sanctions possible. To the youth out there who may be reading this 1. Tell someone if you are being touched or asked to do things that you are uncomfortable with. 2. If your abuser is threatening to harm you or your family if you tell someone  he or she is lying to you . For those of you in the Sex industry your Pimp is using and abusing you . Unfourtanately Coach Sandusky abused Penn State his victims and Joe Paterno.
